SSSE has received RIX FMs annual award "The green award" for 2011.

Justification for the prize for "Radio advertising in Kalmar County - worth 35 000 SEK" are:
The green prize awarded to a small company with great social task. With a patience work to draw attention to environmental issues and its solutions the company helps others to succeed. By exporting its environmental expertise to the Baltics as well as Asia, the company and its employees at the forefront of environmental technology.
By offering its customers long-term sustainable solutions they are opening doors between market players - both in Sweden and abroad. This is a company that invests heavily and are wearing their green profile with pride.

STARDUST - THE STRATEGIC PROJECT ON TRANS-NATIONAL COMMERCIAL ACTIVITES IN RESEARCH & INNOVATION, CLUSTERS AND IN SME-NETWORKS


STARDUST CLEAN WATER

Stardust Clean Water is a project for the purification of municipal wastewater with partners from Finland, Poland, Lithuania and Sweden. Finland and Sweden are representing the companies and Lithuania and Poland is responsible for the scientific part. The aim is to develop a concept that promotes and develops export opportunities for new Swedish and Finnish environmental technology combined with information technology. SSSE is project partner and responsible for the Swedish part.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY - FROM WORDS TO ACTION

SSSE has the contract to operate the project "Energy Efficiency - from words to acction" in collaboration with the Sustainable Municipality within the Regional Council, the County Board of Kalmar County andThe Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden. The project aims to attract mainly the manufacturing industry in Kalmar County to review their energy consumption. There is money to be made for the businesses! Even a simple behavior modification can improve the income significantly.

LINNAEUS ECO-TECH 10

The international conference was very well conducted by William Hogland and his team at Linnaeus University. SSSE was included in the organization which was primarily related to our STInno project and Wastewater Cluster. Over 200 people from 34 countries appreciated the many different lectures and discussions in various groupings.

Mingle evening - an event that brought together companies, researchers, institutes and others to discuss ideas for projects between different parties and countries - resulted in two new project proposals, and many exciting discussions during the evening.

ALGERIA - AN INTERESTING MARKET

SSSE, together with the Regional Council in Kalmar County conducted a very popular and intriguing briefing on Algeria as a future interesting market. Keynote speakers were among others the Swedish Ambassador to Algeria Eva Emnéus and Algeria Ambassador to Sweden Fatah Marharz.

IUC WILL BE PARTNER IN CSR PROJECT

The South Baltic Programme approved the project “RespEn” (Responsible Entrepreneurship) with 7 million SEK to increase interest among small business owners for CSR. SSSEs partner Industrial Development Centres in Kalmar County is a partner and mentor in the project and SSSE will act as resource. Project owner is the Polish company Pomeranian Development Agency in Gdansk.

CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility, is about corporate responsibility in the community with regard to social, ethical and environmental aspects. CSR has become increasingly important for companies in both Sweden and Poland and is seen as a tool for long-term growth and increased competitiveness.

We expect to reach out to 280 small businesses in Poland and Kalmar region.

FLEXIFUEL

Inauguration of the new combined demonstration and test facility FLEXIFUEL - a facility that evaluates system performance and economics of different combination heating systems in larger buildings. Solar collectors, air / water heat pumps, geothermal heat, pellet boiler and storage tanks whose performance in each component can be determined through a web-based measurement and control systems.
